Center of Excellence - Industry 5.0

Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, Solan, HP in collaboration with University of Nebraska at Omaha (USA) has established a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Industry 5.0 in India.
The centre will focus on making JUIT an innovation hub in the emerging trends associated with industry 5.0. Activities of the centre will emphasize on the development of technical competencies required in the upcoming era of Industry 5.0.
Industry 5.0 is used to describe the notion of people working alongside robots and smart machines. The idea is that robots will help humans work better and faster by leveraging advanced information and communication technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), nanotechnologies, and big data analytics and visualization. Essentially, industry 5.0 adds a human dimension to the Industry 4.0 emphasis on automation and efficiency.
Industry 5.0 is a growing trend that culminates in the idea of creating the smart factory. In this regime automation allows the gathering and analysis of data across machines, enabling faster, flexible, and more efficient processes to produce higher-quality goods at reduced costs. Industry 5.0 technologies are already helping organizations increase productivity, shift economics, foster industrial growth, and modify the profile of the workforce, ultimately changing the competitiveness of companies and regions.

To create a 360-degree solution for Industry 5.0 readiness by identifying and evaluating technologies around core industrial sectors and develop a skilled workforce to achieve state of the art excellence.

Vision of Center

Be a national center of eminence in consultancy, research, training, and workforce readiness for Industry 5.0 by engaging Academic and Industry Experts and preparing the student community who are equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to meet/exceed industry expectations on both a local and regional level.

Strategy

Utilize a three-pronged approach using academia to provide the technology solutions, industry experts to share their process expertise, and Government advisors to give their direction and rich guidance. Develop model curriculum for creating a skilled workforce with- state-of-the-art knowledge of the technologies required for Industry 5.0.
