Faculty Development Program on Virtualization & Cloud Computing - Fundamentals & Practical Approach 24nd – 30th December 2015
FDP Objective
The objective of this workshop is to make faculty members / scholars aware of Cloud Computing concepts and Virtualization in cloud in first phase. In second phase FDP aim’s to make members/ scholars aware of simulation tools for cloud computing, i.e.CLoudSim toolkit and GridSim tool kit. The workshop will be helpful to nourish their teaching & research work also. The technical sessions will be delivered by Mr. Mukesh Negi Technical Project Manager, TechMahindra Ltd, Noida (India). He will be delivering sessions on cloud computing and virtualization with hands on approach on Amazon server from 24-26 Dec. 2015. The session on 28 - 30 Dec will be taken by Mr. Punit Gupta on Cloud simulation tools and practical sessions on cloudsim, a tool kit for simulation on cloud computing.
Resource Person
Mr.Punit Gupta is Assistant Professor (Grade-I) in the Department of Information Technology, Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, Solan -173215, Himachal Pradesh, India. He received B.Tech. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi ProudyogikiVishwavidyalaya ,Madhya Pradesh in 2010. He received M.Tech. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (Deemed university) in 2012 On "Trust Management in Cloud computing" .He is a Gold Medalist in M -Tech and currently perusing PhD from Japypee University of information Technology. He Joined Jaypee University of Information Technology Waknaghat on Fedruary 2013.
