Biography :

Dr. Tiratha Raj Singh is a senior academician, researcher, and administrator at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, currently serving as Associate Dean (Innovation). He is a Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, and also holds the responsibilities of Media In-charge and Coordinator of the Centre of Healthcare Technologies and Informatics (CEHTI). He earned his PhD in Bioinformatics from MANIT, Bhopal, with joint doctoral research at Tel Aviv University, Israel, followed by a prestigious VATAT postdoctoral fellowship in Functional Genomics and Molecular Evolution at TAU.
Since joining JUIT in 2010, his research has focused on genomics, proteomics, systems biology, and AI-driven computational approaches to decode complex biological networks underlying DNA repair mechanisms, Alzheimer’s disease, and cancer. His lab actively mines large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and pathway datasets to identify disease mechanisms, propose novel therapeutic inhibitors, and develop biological databases, analytical tools, and web-based applications. Dr. Singh has led and contributed to several DST, ICMR, and DBT-funded projects, published extensively in leading international journals, supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, and guided eight PhD scholars to completion. His contributions have been recognized through international awards, an international patent, and prestigious research distinctions, reflecting his commitment to innovation-driven research, academic leadership, and translational impact.
