Research Support

It provides information about various research tools such as Sodhganga, Digital Library, Institutional Repositories, JUIT Publication Database, Database Searching, Creating Bibliography, Citation Studies, Fellowship / Scholarship Information, Research Funding or Award Information.

Books (Print): Library has reference books in the library which contain high quality research contents in different areas of learning. A separate section is allocated to keep these reference books in the library.

Journals (Print): The Library has been spending a huge amount on subscribing many national and international peer-reviewed journals for the users of different subject areas. The current issues of these journals are being displayed at entrance of the library whereas back volumes are available in the -2 floor of the library.

DL@JUIT (Institutional Repository):
Digital Library is an Institutional Repository of JUIT. It has been developed on DSpace Open Source Software. It contains scanned copy of previous years question papers, full-text of articles published under JUIT affiliation. It can be accessed at http://www.ir.juit.ac.in:8080/jspui/

  • Shodhganga: One can have open access to full-texts of Electronic Theses and Dissertations submitted to Indian Universities.
  • DSpace @ MIT: Open access to full-texts of article collection of Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
  • JUIT LRC Web-OPAC: One can explore catalogue of JUIT LRC.
  • JUIT Publication Database: This is a listing of JUIT research output in the form of articles, conferences, books, chapters, proceedings, etc.
  • Open Access Journals: This is the collection of quality journals in core areas of institute which are available under open access over the Internet.
  • Open Access E-Books: Project Gutenberg offers over 53,000 free ebooks: choose among free epub books, free kindle books, download them or read them online.

Citation Style:

  • Zotero: Zotero is the only research tool that automatically senses content in your web browser, allowing you to add it to your personal library.

 

Online Information Search:  
The LRC staff has been getting frequent requests for arranging full-texts of various articles which are not subscribed by the institute. To streamline the system, we have come up with an ‘Online Information Search Request Form’, which is available at circulation counter in the Library. Students need to get it signed from the concerned faculty, so that LRC staff may devote their time for searching authenticated requests only.

The users engaged in research work in the form of projects, paper writing etc can avail this specialized service by filling up aforesaid form.

Digital Library
Digital Library is an Institutional Repository of JUIT. It has been developed on DSpace Open Source Software. It contains scanned copy of previous years question papers, full-text of articles published under JUIT affiliation.

Web OPAC:
Catalogue of the library collections, books, journals, magazines and other materials is accessible online 24x7. One can know the list of books borrowed and their due dates. IT enables speedy search of library catalogue. It also helps the students to explore the facility of book reservation.

JUIT Publication Database:
The JUIT publication is a specialized online database containing list of research output of the University. The list is interlinked through profile of the individual faculty, Department-wise and year wise as well.
