Dr. K K Shukla is a Professor in the department of Computer Science & Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology BHU. He has 35 years of teaching and research experience. He has chaired the department for two terms and held several administrative responsibilities. Before joining IIT(BHU), he was with HAL where he contributed to several projects of national importance. He is also a Fellow of IETE, IE, member of ISTE, and Senior Member of CSI. He has completed his PhD and M.Tech with Gold Medal from BHU. He has more than 160 publications that are well cited, 24 Intellectual Property Rights, 8 books and 2 book chapters. He has produced 18 PhD's and 2 are in progress. He has also delivered 18 invited lectures at several Conferences and Symposiums. He has successfully executed 11 Sponsored Projects. He is also a key Resource Person at several government and non-government organizations. He has also received Computer Engineering Division Medal from Institution of Engineers. He has organised 8 International Conferences and Short term courses. He is currently the Chairman of the Supercomputer Establishment Committee at IIT(BHU) under the National Super-computing Mission, and Professor in-charge (Faculty Affairs), IIT(BHU).


 

Prof. Dr. Joaquim Jorge

Joaquim Jorge is Full Professor of Computer Science at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST/UTL), the School of Engineering of the Technical University of Lisboa, Portugal, where he teaches User Interfaces and Computer Graphics. He received PhD and MSc degrees in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, in 1995 and a BsEE from IST/UTL in 1984. 

He has served as general chair or program chair for many conferences, including Eurographics 2016 (PC Chair) 1998 (General Chair), International Conference on CAD/Computer Graphics (PRC) in 2017, 2015 and 2013, ACM IUI 2012INTERACT 2011, ECCE'2008 (Funchal, Madeira), CAe2008 (Portugal), WSCG 2006 (Plz, Czech Republic)EGVE'06 and EUROVIS'06 (Lisbon, Portugal May 2006) among 35 other international venues. 
He has been a member of several research projects both at the National and European Level, Including A-MOP, TARGET, MAXIMUS, IMPROVE and Eurotooling 21 research projects. He was Principal Investigator (PI) of the SmartSketches project and led the Alfa INETGAM II-0072-A network of excellence, both started in 2001.  He serves or has served on the program committees of nearly 200 international conferences. Since 2007 he is Editor in Chief of Computers & Graphics Journal and serves or has served on the board for six other international journals. He is a Distinguished Member and Speaker of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) / SIGGRAPH and SIGCHI, a Senior Member of the IEEE Computer Society, IAPR, and was chairman of the Eurographics Portuguese Chapter from 2000-2008. Since July 2014 he is Chair of the ACM/SIGGRAPH Specialized Conferences Committee. He is a member of the ACM Europe Council Executive Committee since 2015.
Joaquim Jorge's interests are in Calligraphic and Multimodal User Interfaces, Visual Languages and Pattern Recognition techniques applied to Human-Computer Interaction. He is author or co-author of 3 books, 49 refereed journal articles and over 200 papers published in peer-reviewed international conferences. He was elected Fellow of the Eurographics Association in 2010. In 2014 he was given the IFIP Silver Core Award for his services to IFIP TC13.

 


 

Dr. Lipo Wang (in Chinese: 王力波)

Wang Lipo received the BS degree from National University of Defense Technology, China, and the PhD degree from Louisiana State University, USA. In 1989, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, USA. In 1990, he was a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University College, ADFA, University of New South Wales, Australia. From 1991 to 1993 he was on the staff of the Laboratory of Adaptive Systems, National Institutes of Health, USA. From 1994 to 1997 he was a tenured faculty member at Deakin University, Australia. Since 1998, he has been Associate Professor at the School of EEE, NTU. He has published 200 papers in journals and conferences. He holds a U.S. patent in neural networks. He has authored 2 monographs and edited 20 books. His work has been cited 400 times in the ISI Web of Science by other researchers. He was keynote/plenary speaker for several international conferences. He is Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks (since 2002), IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation (since 2003), and IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (since 2005). He is Area Editor of the Soft Computing journal (since 2002). He serves on the Editorial Board of 8 additional international journals. He was Vice President for Technical Activities (2006-2007) and Chair of the Emergent Technologies Technical Committee (2004-2005), IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He has been on the Governing Board of the Asia-Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA) since 1999 and served as APNNA President in 2002/2003. He won the 2007 APNNA Excellent Service Award. He was Founding Chair of both the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Chapter Singapore and IEEE Computational Intelligence Chapter Singapore. He serves/served as General/Program/Steering Committee Chair for 15 international conferences and as Member of steering/advisory/organizing/program committees of over 150 international conferences.


 

Prof. Dr. Maheshkumar H.Kolekar

Maheshkumar H. Kolekar was born in Satara, Maharashtra India. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2007. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Computer Science, University of Missouri, Columbia, USA. Since 2010, he has been working as faculty in the Electrical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna), where at present he is holding post of Associate Professor. He served as a Head, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Patna in 2013 for one year and Head of the Center (HoC) for Advanced Systems Engineering, IIT Patna during 2014 to 2016 for two years. Since August 2017, he is working as Professor-in-charge, National Knowledge Network of IIT Patna. His research interests are in digital image and video processing, video surveillance, and medical image processing. He was a recipient of the Best Paper Award from the Computer Society of India for his research paper. In 2012, he was an Organizing Chair of the IEEE sponsored International Conference on Signal, Image and Video Processing at the IIT Patna, a Guest Editor of the Journal of Medical Imaging and Health Informatics (American Scientific) for Special Issue on Biomedical Signal and Image Processing, a Tutorial Chair of the 4th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Human Computer Interaction at IIT Kharagpur, a Keynote Speaker of the International conference on Biomedical Systems, Signals and Images at IIT Madras, an Editorial Board Member of the American Journal of Signal Processing (Scientific and Academic). During May to July 2017, he worked as DAAD fellow in Technical University Berlin where he worked in the research area EEG signal analysis using machine learning.
