Dr. Saurav is an accomplished academic in the field of Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering, with extensive experience in both teaching and research. He earned his PhD in Civil Engineering from Jaypee University of Information Technology, completing a dissertation focused on the "Experimental Studies of Strength and Durability Analysis of Concrete Incorporating Ultrafine Slag. His M.Tech in Structural Engineering was awarded by IIT, BHU, where he developed a thesis on the “Finite Element Analysis of Confined Brick Masonry through ANSYS”. He has a strong academic background, holding a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from BIT Sindri, with distinction. His research interests lie in concrete materials and their applications, the design and analysis of composite structures, and the innovative use of modern materials like autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) and ultrafine slag in construction. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and conferences, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of structural engineering. He is currently working as Assistant Professor (SG) in the Department of Civil Engineering at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India, since March 2018. Over the years, he has demonstrated a profound contribution to academia and research. He has published several high-impact articles on topics such as corrosion detection in reinforced concrete structures using piezoelectric sensors, optimization of structural elements, and the mechanical properties of AAC. His expertise extends to software applications such as AUTOCAD, STADD Pro, and ANSYS, which he uses in both research and teaching. He is also deeply involved in academic supervision, mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate students in their theses and projects. His ongoing PhD students are investigating cutting-edge topics like real-time corrosion detection in RCC structures using smart sensors and the mechanical properties of AAC blocks. Additionally, he has supervised numerous M.Tech projects on diverse subjects ranging from soil-structure interaction to the stability analysis of gravity dams. Apart from his academic responsibilities, He has actively contributed to various workshops, expert lectures, and symposia, sharing his knowledge on topics such as finite element analysis, concrete technology, and structural health monitoring. He has served in various administrative roles, including faculty coordinator for the “Unnat Bharat Abhiyan”, a national initiative for rural development. He is passionate about fostering the development of new engineers who can contribute to the field of Civil Engineering with a focus on sustainability and innovation
