Network localization and navigation give rise to a new paradigm for communication and contextualization, enabling a variety of new applications that rely on position information of mobile nodes. This talk will present a brief technical overview of our recent activities with particular emphasis on cooperative network localization employing wideband wireless technology from theoretical and practical points of view. Location inference for tagged and untagged objects is considered. Case studies based on network experimentation will be presented.
