Learning Resource Center has tried to build a strong collection in the area of science, technology, engineering, humanities, social sciences, management, generalia etc. The collection comprises mainly books, current journals, back volumes, standards, audio-video cassette, CD-ROMs etc. The collection is heavily used by the faculty, students, research scholars. Collection Arrangement
The Learning Resource Centre JUIT has a very active learning ambience . It is a Three floor library about 2500 sq feet of carpet area and is capable of accommodating 500 students at a time to carry out any kind academic activity and research such as reading books and journals, computer programming , software development etc. Its fully linked with JUIT internet and intranet.
LEVEL - 0 : Circulation Counter, Multimedia Section and Textbook Section
The "0" level of the LRC have the circulation counter to isssue/return resources and text book on either side of the counter. This hall contains textbooks for the purpose of borrowing by the students. It stacks the textbooks of Computer Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Maths, Physics and Chemistry. In this section the main subjects have been displayed on the end panel of each book stack. This Section have two computer terminal for search of the availability of books at the selves and one computer terminal for Self-Circulation.
LEVEL - 1 : Textbook Section
The Textbook Section of "-1" level of the LRC mainly contains textbooks of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Management and Buildings. In this section the main subjects have been displayed on the end panel of each book stack. This Section have one computer terminal for search of the availability of books at the selves and one computer terminal for scanning of documents/resources.
LEVEL - 1 : Reference Section
The Reference Section of "-1" level of the LRC mainly contains the all type of reference books. LRC have tried to keep at least one copy of textbooks and all international publications etc. In this section the main subjects have been displayed on the end panel of each book stack. The stacks of this hall has the books on computer science and engineering, management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, building, material science, bioinformatics and biotechnology. Photocopy Services is also provided in this section. This Section have one computer terminal for search of the availability of books at the selves and one computer terminal for scanning of documents/resources.
LEVEL - 2 : Reserve Section
The "-2" level of the LRC mainly contains the all type of reserve books. LRC have tried to keep , Indian Standard Codes, Hanbooks, Encyclopedias and all internal publications such project reports etc along with current journals (both Indian as well as international). In this section the main subjects have been displayed on the end panel of each stack. The stacks of this hall has the resources on computer science and engineering, management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, building, material science, bioinformatics and biotechnology, Pharmacy, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Management and Buildings along with Journals and Internal Publication. This Section have one computer terminal for scanning of documents/resources.
