Biography

Rajesh Kumar obtained his M.Tech. from IIT Roorkee and Ph.D. in Physics (Nanotechnology) from H.P. University, Shimla (India). He joined Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) in 2004. August 2007 to September 2008, he has worked as a researcher in the Center for Superfunctional Materials (CSM) at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), South Korea. Currently, Rajesh Kumar is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at the Department of Physics and Materials Science in JUIT, and Visiting Professor at GIST, South Korea.  He has visited Kyushu University, Japan as a Visiting Scientist (on a DST-JSPS sponsored collaborative project), University of Osnabruck, Germany as a Visiting Scientist (on DST-DAAD sponsored collaborative project).  In his guidance, four PhD and two Masters Students have been awarded degrees till date. His current research topics include synthesis, characterization and application of Nanostructures, fabrication of transition metal Nanostructures on silicon substrates, Thin film formation of Magnetic Nanoparticles for Spintronic Device Application, Super-Resolution Optical Microscopy, Nanostructures analysis using High Resolution Microscopies.
