Research Interests

Mobile Communications, WCDM, Ad hoc Networks, Channelization (OVSF) codes and optimization, WCDMA, Routing algorithms and security issues in Mobile Ad hoc networks.
WCDMA is leading 3G standard used in majority of wireless networks. Multimedia support in WCDMA is provided with OVSF codes. OVSF codes suffers from the limitations like internal fragmentation, external fragmentation and code blocking which reduces the throughput and channel utilization for wireless networks based upon WCDMA system. We work to optimize the performance of all such wireless networks. Many efficient OVSF code assignment designs are proposed for performance improvement. Along with reduction in code blocking, we also try to reduce the decision time for new call prior to finding suitable candidate codes for new calls.

Brief Background :

Biography

Davinder S. Saini was born in Nalagarh, India in January 1976. He received B.E degree in electronics and telecommunication engineering from College of Engineering Osmanabad, India in 1998. He received M.Tech degree in communication systems from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India in 2001. He received PhD degree in electronics and communication from Jaypee University of Information Technology Waknaghat, India in 2008. He is with Jaypee University of Information Technology Waknaghat since june 2002. Currently he is Assistant Professor in electronics and communication department. His research areas include Channelization (OVSF) codes and optimization in WCDMA, routing algorithms and security issues in MANETs
