Summer Training 2013

  

Jaypee University of Information Technology is offering summer training of one month (from 5th June 2013) in different areas of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics to M.Tech./B.Tech/M.Sc./B.Sc. students in the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. Following are the training modules floated for the upcoming summer:-

  • Environmental Biotechnology & Bio-energy (Bioremediation of hydrocarbons/Bioleaching of electronic waste/Bioconversion of feedstock to alternative fuels, Bioethnaol, Biogas/vermicomposting/Bacterial Identification).


  • Molecular Biology Techniques (Plasmid isolation, Restriction analysis, Cloning and PCR amplification of a given gene, Molecular marker techniques).


  • Microbial Pathogens & Medical Genomics (handling, diagnostic techniques, SNP discovery, DNA fingerprinting for forensics).


  • Industrial Biotechnology & Food Biotechnology (production & immobilization of industrial enzymes, fermentation & genetically modified foods).


  • Bioinformatics (Computational Biology and Web based development of BI Tools & Databases).


Training fee will be Rs 10,000 including accommodation and mess charges. Payment can be made in-cash or by sending a Demand Draft (In favour of “Jaypee University of Information Technology” payable at Shimla, HP).

Interested students may send their applications (hard copy or soft copy) routed through their Dean/HOD/Training Coordinator along with CV indicating the subjects (Theory as well as Lab. courses) for which they are registered in the current semester by May 15, 2013 to the undersigned. Also attach a Letter of recommendation issued from Dean/HOD/Training Coordinator of your institute corresponding to summer training.
