B.Tech. and M.Tech. Programmes
The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology offers two 4-year B.Tech. programmes, one in Computer Science and the other in Information Technology. M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The Department has an active Doctoral programme.
Exposure to Emerging and Futuristic Technologies
At the undergraduate level, the Department lays emphasis on software engineering, data and information systems engineering, as well as on networking technologies, wired, optical fibre, and wireless. The Department provides exposure to emerging technologies as well as futuristic technologies like nano-technology, and quantum computing.
Research
The research thrust of the Department is in the engineering of software systems, data/knowledge based systems like data base systems and data warehousing systems, information systems, requirements engineering, and computer networking.
